Ed Hornyak
- Tenor Guitar
Active in Toronto's music community from the mid 1970's, Ed and his long time collaborator, Robin Bruce Ward, composed the music for the CBC radio production "So Hard To Be Strong" which also featured the music of Stan Rogers. In the 1980's he teamed up with various writers and accompanied such artists Lori Yates, Karen Gamble and Dyan Maracle. Taking a hiatus from music in the early 90's, he turned his focus to drawing and painting. Encouraged by his friend, mandolin player Jeff Cardey, he picked up the guitar again in 2004 and together they formed "String Theory".

Ian Chamberlain - Guitar
A long time Mississauga resident, Ian studied classical guitar with Trevor Burt and was a founding member of the Mississauga Guitar Quartet. During the 1990's Ian acted as Treasurer of the Mississauga Guitar Society and helped stage dozens of guitar concert series. Ian often performed in these series with a variety of other players. The Mississauga Guitar Quartet evolved into Cedar and Spruce which has released two CD's. These CD's have been featured on CBC's Disc Drive and other radio stations. With Cedar and Spruce, Ian has performed on live radio, held annual performances at the Living Arts Centre, and was a guest clinician at the Honour Guitar Festival in Winnipeg in 2002. Recently Ian has been composing music and expanding playing styles to include swing, early jazz, bluegrass and celtic music and has recently teamed with Alan Shoesmith to form the guitar duo, "Fretful Guise".

Rizaldo Padilla - Bass
Toronto native Rizaldo Padilla studied jazz with Neville Barns and Howard Rees. But predominantly, Rizaldo earned his musical education on the bandstand with Laurie Pinto's swing orchestra. From there, he has played in various band combinations settling in with a musical project he started with Jean Francois Gouin called Les Singes Bleus. With the conclusion of Les Singes Bleus, Rizaldo joined the String Theory Collective. He has been playing double bass full time with Ed and Ian.
